Niels Vermolen Statutory director
Niels determines and tracks the company’s strategic objectives and policies, and ensures the Group follows the AFM guidelines.
Niels has a wealth of knowledge and experience in leading insurance companies. He was the director/owner of his family business Vermolen Assurantien in Utrecht, The Netherlands from 1995 to 2017. He successfully grew his company and sold it to start a new challenge, becoming director of Kaufman Europe.
Through his commitment to the interest organizations Adfiz and the NVGA he has gained numerous contacts and a lot of knowledge about the insurance industry.

Rupesh Appannah Senior Business Executive
Rupesh oversees business production, ensuring growth of Kaufman Europe through quality service for new and existing client relationships. His role involves identifying MGA opportunities and managing key accounts and underwriters. He works with the leadership team in setting strategic objectives for the Group.
Rupesh has significant experience in the insurance sector, the majority of which was spent working up the ranks within the Chesterfield Group, London – an H.W. Kaufman Europe Group company. He has extensive experience across multiple lines of business including Accident & Health, Contingency, Kidnap & Ransom, Financial Lines and Terrorism. He joins HW Kaufman Europe from his previous role as Executive Director at an international reinsurance broker.

Tom Coppenhagen Broker Support
Tom manages the technical aspects of Kaufman Europe’s operations including binding authorities and open market placements. Additionally, he provides broking support to the
team.
Tom’s previous experience in financial institutions has given him a good understanding of the market. Tom’s combined role makes him an integral member of the team and to the day to day running of the business. He has demonstrated his enthusiasm and keen eagerness to learn and progress..
